I have always had a strong interest in fashion and started my blog in my junior year of high school. I stumbled upon this beautiful thing called VINTAGE SHOPPING and my creativity soared. Eventually, I ventured off into redesigning vintage apparel my freshman year at FIT at places like Vintage Twin, Buffalo Exchange, and L Train Vintage. At fashion school, people are praised for their creativity, and I was happy to hear that students and professors loved my work! I then decided to sell the clothes I was making! Now I am designing my own clothing to express my ideas of fashion trends.
I currently attend go to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. I have double-majored in Fashion Business Management as well as International Trade and Marketing with a minor in Economics, Corporate Social Responsibility, as well as Ethics and Sustainability.
Believe it or not, but I get asked this question ALL the time! All of my friends at FIT have held highly creative names for their blogs and I wanted to come up with one unique for me. So, one day as I was trying to relate Manhattan to fashion and I focused on the ‘man’ section and then feminized it into Miss.
My favorite moments are working the Vogue photoshoots and working backstage at NYFW. I learned so much about what happens behind the scenes and all the work that goes into preparing for these huge events. It also helped me learn the etiquette of being around huge fashion companies!
One of my favorite fashion trends right now is the prints, florals, and COLOR. After the pandemic, so many people are feeling extremely active and creative and this is what we need. Also what else can spark your mood more than a great color? Even if you’re more of a neutrals girl like me, there is always room to add a subtle pop of color here and there. It doesn’t even have to be loud. I am all for mixing prints and finding the perfect colorway for my outfits now.
